New Pattern Sneak Peek: Shore Thing — Spring 2019

At last spring break is but a month away and lake days are on the horizon, which means it’s time to get a pattern that matches the vibes of these warm getaways. When you look at our latest pattern, Shore Thing, you will immediately dream of being on the beach with the colors of the sea surrounding you. This print is covered with everything under the sea from starfishes and seaweed to anchors and turtles, meaning it’s ready to travel with you for beach visits, lake days and every excursion in between.

the inspiration

When our designers began working on Shore Thing, they drew inspiration from classic patio prints. This is why you’ll see so many whimsical coral motifs mixed with other swirling sea creatures throughout this pattern. Shades of blue not only ground Shore Thing — reinforcing its nautical, beachy roots — but also appear in dynamic hues on everything from the water to the navy fish swimming through the pattern.

Shore Thing arrives online and in stores on Tuesday, February 5 in the Iconic and Lighten Up collections. We simply can’t get enough coral this season so we made this nautical print in a second color: Shore Thing Coral. This pink beauty is available in our Lighten Up collection. That’s not all — keep an eye out for a few other beach styles in novelty patterns like Conch, Ahoy and more.

how to wear it

Our top styling tips for Shore Thing are a given. This nautical pattern pairs perfectly with some red and white sailor stripes. Stripes of any size and color are a staple in every closet, and they’ll look even better mixed with this beachy print. We can never get enough blue in our patterns, because let’s face it, blue goes with everything! This is why we recommend sporting Shore Thing on an everyday bag like the Iconic RFID All In One Crossbody. This compact bag is perfect for carrying your phone, cards and more when you’re on-the-go.
