We are forever crushing on October. From the hilarious pumpkin head and Hocus Pocus memes to it being socially appropriate to eat candy all 31 days of October, what’s not to love about this month that embodies fall most of all? While we’re excited about the colorful leaves, Halloween and sweater weather, we’re also looking forward to different events, styles and blog posts arriving this month too. Here are five things happening this October that you won’t want to miss!

national breast cancer awareness month

While October brings a great deal of fun, it’s also a month that sheds light on an issue that’s very near and dear to us. From the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer‘s biggest event of the fall, Tickled Pink, on October 5 to posts right here on the blog, this month is all about continuing our fight towards finding a cure. It wouldn’t be a new month without new arrivals. This month, we have a pattern releasing in one of our favorite fall shades: wine. We can hardly wait for this rich, deep red background covered in dainty florals with accents of blue and green that will have you wearing it all season long.     Please please bring back the ribbon zipper pulls! They are so much more elegant. I am in a Vera Bradley Facebook group, and across the board, everyone complains about this change, prefers the ribbon zipper pulls, and wants them back!
