New Pattern Sneak Peek: Indio

Spring is just weeks away, and we’re busy prepping our homes and wardrobes for the warm weather to come. We kicked off our spring season with the colorful Wildflower Paisley and Go Fish, but we’re not done yet! Next week, we have not one, but two new patterns releasing just in time for your spring break!

the inspiration

Arriving online and in stores on Thursday, March 8, Indio is a free-flowing pattern influenced by intricate hand-printing. In shades of blue and gray, Indio is a modern take on your favorite bandana print, great for casual weekends on the go. Available in our Iconic, Signature, Carson and Change It Up collections, there is an Indio style to fit every woman’s needs. If you love this pretty new pattern, we think you’ll also like Splash Dot — the perfect coordinating pattern, available in Lighten Up!

how to wear it

With a palette derived from natural indigo dyes, Indio is the perfect pattern to pair with your favorite jeans. Start with a breezy button-down top and medium-wash denim shorts. Slip into some comfortable crossover sandals (in blue, of course) and keep the accessories simple. Our newly updated Iconic Hipster Crossbody will be attached to your hip (literally) from Sunday to Saturday. With a slip pocket on the front for your phone and six other pockets to organize your essentials, you’ll have no trouble fitting your must-haves for days of brunch dates and afternoon errands.

Unless you’re going to bring INDIO back, I’m done with Vera Bradley. I have been a loyal Vera Bradley Customer for many many years; since 1998!!! However, I’m sick of trying to acquire all the pieces I want in a pattern, only to have it disappear because you people retire the patterns. I can’t even find Indio in the pattern section of your site. I have had to jump from pattern to pattern over the years (since 1998!!!) because of your retirement habbits. It’s ridiculous. I don’t want 10 different non-matching patterns floating around in my closet! Not to mention, if your prices weren’t so obscenely high, it wouldn’t take the average-to-low income person so long to collect the styles they want. To buy a 6pc set of a pattern, (tote bag, shoulder bag, wallet, med hipster/crossbody, lanyard or keychain & mini cosmetic) , it’s over $320!!! And let’s not mention the prices of your travel collection items. I can’t even afford a single piece.
I’m sorry if I sound nasty or rude. I am not trying to be… And I know I am only 1 measly customer in the sea of so many. I have just been dissappointed so many times over the years due to the high prices and retirements…Oh and surprise: your prices just increased.
I just wish that I could complete a single patterned set…or when a piece wears out, tears or gets damaged in any way, I could replace it with the same pattern & style. Sorry VB but I think I am finished. Indio disappearing was the last straw. The blue colors went with everything. So many of your other patterns are just way to loud and busy and do not go with everything.
